About the Author
Robert L. Bob BugBob Allen is an entomologist, botanist, instructor and photographer. Raised in San Juan Capistrano, he studied insects from a very early age. He and Fred attended Marco Forster Junior High School in San Juan Capistrano but never met until they entered Dana Hills High School where borth learned native plants in natural history class. He attended Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, then California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In 1982, Cal Poly awarded him a bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Systematic Biology. In 2006, he received his Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies from California State University, Fullerton. At CSUF, he taught entomology and biological illustration. He teaches nature photography, entomology, botany and pollination classes in classroom and in the field. Bob is a Research Associate at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden and a Research Associate in Entomology at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. He is now working on a book about California s pollinating insects.

Fred M. Roberts, Jr. is a consulting botanist, artist, and author. He grew up in Dana Point, where thousands of acres of underdeveloped grasslands and hiking opportunities contributed to a strong interest in natural history. While attending Dana Hills High School he became interested in reptiles, amphibians, birds, and plants. At Saddleback College, botany became his primary interest and he put together his first checklist of Orange County plants, which he later published and is now in its third edition. In 1982, he received his Bachelor of Science in Geography with an emphasis on Botany from the University of California, San Barbara. From 1982 to 1991 he worked as an assistant curator in the Museum of Systematic Biology, University of California, Irvine. From 1991 to 1999 he worked as a botanist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service before starting his own botanical consulting business. Fred is a Research Associate at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. He is currently working on several projects including A Flora of Orange County, California.

Great resource for So Cal residents

I bought two copies of this, one for myself and one for my father who is a trained botanist. It has hundreds of beautiful full color illustrations and is very informative and easy to read. It compares well to any "Peterson's Guides" if you are familiar with those.

A Beautiful book for those of us who love real books

Despite the convenience of digital books and field guides, you will love this book. It is chock full of scholarly information and beautiful pictures but very user friendly. This is useful for a PhD or a weekend hiker who loves the outdoors.
It does have a limited geography being specific to the Santa Ana Mountains of Orange County California but the information is still applicable to Los Angeles County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County and San Diego County.
It appears to be pricy but that was driven by the desire to make it a complete book with many excellent photos taken by Bob Allen and illustrations by co Author Fred Roberts Jr.
It is so much more than just a wildflower book because you get an education as your read about the plants. They include what they call "guilds" of organisms that are associated with the plant.
You will not be sorry if you buy this book

I think the concept of this book is great however, the writing is terrible although not as ...

I think the concept of this book is great however, the writing is terrible although not as bad as the first and second books leading up to this one. It needs a good edit for grammar, structure, and to remove the erroneous words and phrases such as 'freaking' 'shit/shitty', the 'F' bomb etc. I am keeping it because I did like how it described how to act 'as if'. It was a bit more organized and flowed better than the first two books.
I might recommend this book to others after a serious edit is performed on it by an experienced editor/writer.

Best Explanation EVER

I LOVE the way Kelli explains things. She's had success with the law of attraction from learning and applying. Sometimes it's hard to figure out on our own but when Kelli explains it I just seem to "get it". I enjoy learning from her and I especially loved how she explained in this book how to act as if. Most of us are told to play like we already have what we want which is difficult to do. It's also hard to be happy 24/7 which is another misconception. Kelli definitely shared a very easy way to accomplish this task and has also made it fun. Best book on this subject I've ever read, it's a must if you're having issues in this area.

This is the most widely cited book in the machine translation literature. It's an excellent introduction, and well worth reading. No algorithms, but a great overview of the issues and problems in MT.

Insightful and written with love and dedication for all to access God's Power

Awaken Your Divine Intuition, written by Dr. Susan Shumsky, is a wonderful, inspiring book aiming to help you to experience the Christ Consciousness within you. It teaches the reader how to feel and know that God is in us and in everything. In fact, it shows you that God is everywhere and always available and accessible to all who ask. It is a spiritual, non-religious, non-denominational book about how to deepen our connection with Divine Spirit while at the same time being able to access this Divine Power at any time we need help or guidance.
This book, when following what is being taught, will allow you to experience God/Spirit whenever you want—at will. You can contact God/Spirit or your higher self, asking a question, or asking for guidance, or even request a spiritual experience with the Divine Being, and then be given the answer or spiritual experience instantaneously.
The reader is also able to access and download for free the Divine Revelation Breakthrough Guided Meditation. The link is provided inside the pages of the book. You only need to give your name, email, and order purchase number.
You will be able to discern the Voice of God from voices of other lower spirit realms. About the Author

Paul C. Etter has worked in ocean-atmosphere physics and environmental acoustics for the past 40 years, including as an active duty ASW officer for the U.S. Navy. He is the author and coauthor of more than 200 technical reports, professional papers, and books addressing environmental measurement technology, underwater acoustics, and physical oceanography. He received his B.S. in physics and his M.S. in oceanography from Texas A&M University.
